Art means living a creative life. This is no joke.
I studied for 5 years at the Kunstgewerbeschule St.Gallen, Switzerland
and 4 semesters at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
For over 30 years, I had the opportunity to think commercially. I worked as
a graphic designer, art director, creative director, concept developer and
copywriter for national and international companies and advertising agencies
in all sectors.
I have always been fascinated by art. I have visited countless exhibitions by
well-known and lesser-known artist. I have spent days alone, working into
the night, immersed in the sounds of Caro Emerald, Amy Winehouse or
Cesaria Evora in the studio. Lost in thought, wondering: How can my
artistic style stand out? Do I even need an artistic style? There are
guaranteed to be countless artist around the world who think the same way.
What do I habe to do attract the attention of gallery owner and art lovers
using irony, provocation an my own personal style? In the knowledge that
there are hardly any artistic styles that have not already been applied.
In 2018, I received my first invitation from Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, where
the acrylic-painted slate stones were used as 3D miniatures and attracted
attention during the Triennial of Sculpture. Since then I have been
experimenting with colours, lines, shapes, paper collages, texts and
digital works. Provocative ideas like subtle irony fascinate me.
During a visit to the Italian artist village of Pietra Santa I met the now
deceased artist Fernando Bolero.During our conversation, he whispered
in my ear: Discover your signature style and think commercially, even if
everyday life as an artist is not easy.
What has not yet been written about art on our planet?
I was successful in business marketing, so why not as an artist?
I am grateful to my private circle for allowing me to work as an artist.
Nothing is closer to us humans than the body, intelligence and freedom.
